About us

 

Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.

 

About the role

 

Provide case work support to clients with complex socio-legal needs who are living with disability, including their families and carers.

 

Work collaboratively with solicitors and allied professional staff to provide accessible and trauma informed services and support to people with disability.

 

About you

 

 

·       You will have skills and experience in working with people with disability and a passion to improve access to justice for people living with disability, their families and carers.

·       You will have experience in developing and maintaining effective partnerships with key stakeholders.

·       You will have experience in working in a multidisciplinary team that promotes collaborative practice to achieve the best outcomes for clients.

 

We may use this recruitment to create a talent pool for similar ongoing or temporary vacancies we have over the next 18 months.

The essential requirements for this role

 

You must:

 

·       5 years minimum relevant experience

·       Diploma Level 5 and above in relevant discipline (minimum 2 years study)

·       Hold a valid Driver Licence

·       Hold, or be able to obtain, a current Working with Children Check

·       Experience in working with people living with disability
