• Salary Package: This position offers a salary range of $120,859 to $133,183, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role? 

As the Senior Engagement Advisor you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the Commission’s engagement strategy, focusing on building strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, as well as engaging with registered practitioners, non-registered practitioners, and health sector stakeholders. 

In this role, you will lead initiatives that promote our objectives, ensuring that our engagement activities are targeted, impactful, and culturally sensitive.

To be successful in this role, you will: 

• Proven experience in developing and implementing engagement strategies. 

• Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills. 

• The ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams. 

• A commitment to cultural sensitivity and inclusivity in engagement practices. 

 

Essential requirements: 

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in stakeholder engagement, communications, public relations, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a similar role. 

• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing engagement strategies, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. 

• Familiarity with the NSW health system, including knowledge of registered and non-registered practitioners and health service delivery. 

• To be eligible to apply for this position, applicants must have existing Australian work rights. 

• The successful applicant will be required to complete a Background Verification Check which includes a National Police Check (Criminal History), qualification check, and Working with Children’s Check. 

• Experience with Government organisations is preferred or demonstrable ability to adapt to government conditions will need to be demonstrated.
